CSCI 502 Computer Networking Concepts

This course serves as a bridge course into the Master of Science in Applied Security and Analytics (MSASA) program, focusing on data communication, network organization, network communication protocols, and network architecture that can be used to integrate distributed computing environments into a coherent information system. The course will provide the student with both theoretical understanding and practical experience in such things as transmission media, network protocols, addressing schemes, client/server relationships, private and public networks, local area networks and wide area networks.
