POLS 680 Advanced Studies in Political Science

This course provides an overview of the American national government. Students will examine the foundations of the American government, focusing on the role of both the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists in establishing the U.S. Constitution. The course also explores the processes by which citizens can participate and affect the American political system. The historical development of the three branches of government and their role in the development of public policy is also examined.
