Spirit Rock Painting

Only UF Registered Student Organizations may reserve and paint the Spirit Rock.

The guidelines for student organizations wishing to paint the Spirit Rock are as follows:

  • All reservations must be made through the Facilities Office at least seven days prior to the preferred date/s.
  • All reservations will be for three days.
  • Student organizations may submit no more than two reservations per semester.
  • Painting can take place any time after 10:00 p.m. the night before the approved start date.
  • Only the Spirit Rock may be painted - nothing around or near the area should be defaced with paint.
  • Any cost associated with removing/cleaning excess painting will be the responsibility of the organization/group approved for the painting of the Spirit Rock.
  • Student organizations are responsible for providing their own paint and supplies.
  • No inappropriate text or images are permitted. Anything painted on the Spirit Rock must adhere to University policies, and UF reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove anything from the Spirit Rock that is deemed inappropriate.
