BIOL 425 Field and Medical Mycology
Students will learn the fundamentals of field, molecular, and medical mycology. Topics will include the structure and classification of fungi along with an introduction to the importance of physiological, biochemical, genetic, and ecological data in the field of mycology. Students will also learn about the epidemiology of fungal infections, defining fungal disease states, and emphasizing laboratory identification of fungi based on body sites.
