ECON 680 Economics and Financial Literacy for Educators

This course uses the guidelines as required by the state and national standards to frame economics and financial literacy instruction. Learners will be introduced to concepts and theories relevant in the fields of macroeconomics and microeconomics such as national income accounting, unemployment, inflation, demand and supply, theory of costs, international trade, among others. Learners will be exposed to contemporary topics in the field of personal finance. Application to global issues as well as one’s personal life and/or professional career will be emphasized at different stages of the course.
