GEOG 680 Advanced Studies in Geography

This course will introduce students to advanced topics in world geography. After reviewing the basics of world regional geography, students will focus on the following case studies as they apply to particular countries and regions of the world: state formation; nationalism; economic development; post-colonialism; gender issues; security studies; terrorism; and resource exploitation and management. This course is repeatable up to six hours.
