PHAR 522 Medication Therapy Management Services and Advocacy
This is a highly interactive course designed to provide students with the skill set necessary to participate in medication therapy management services and complete a comprehensive medication review (CMR) according to the national standards. This course will review other practice models in which pharmacists can expand their role in developing consulting agreements for chronic disease state management. Students will gain a better idea of the importance of using clinical knowledge to maximize patient outcomes while balancing the feasibility of managing the cost associated with pharmacy services. Students will participate in a state-wide pharmacy advocacy forum to better understand how practice models can be accepted into laws.
