PHYS 551 Systems and Interactions II

This is the second of a two-course sequence that integrates and expands on foundational principles in physics. Areas of focus include the interactions of electric and magnetic forces and fields with charged systems and other fields; the development of Maxwell's Equations, with emphasis on the interactions of matter and light as described by the wave model; energy considerations in the contexts of electromagnetic forces and fields; the role of electrons in conductors and insulators; and the unification of electrostatics and electrodynamic, particularly in the context of circuits.
