Academic Integrity

Faulty members are encouraged to promote and practice honest academic standards in the classroom, within the curriculum, in research and in scholarship. Faculty members of The University of Findlay have established disciplinary procedures in instances of student misconduct of an academic nature. These procedures can be found in the Student Rights and Responsibilities Statement Article VIII, Academic Integrity as documented in the Graduate and Undergraduate Catalogs and also on the University’s website. It is the expectation that all faculty members shall be vigilant for acts of academic dishonesty committed by students, either in or out of the classroom and all such acts will be reported by the faculty member according to established disciplinary procedures. Once the faculty member has begun the disciplinary procedures, it is expected that the faculty member will follow-through with all the required documentation associated with a charge of academic dishonesty. Therefore, he or she will be available for student meetings, the appeal process, and any follow-up reports required by the University designate in all cases of student academic misconduct.
