PHAR 501 Medicinal Herbs

This course prepares the student to understand and recognize the popular herbs used by the general population. Students will learn the pharmacological uses and the various formulations that are available for the most common herbs. Specific emphasis will be placed on herbal-drug interactions. The course will involve lectures, both in class and online, and virtual or real visits to drug stores and botanical gardens.
