Student Eligibility Requirements
Students must meet several criteria to be considered eligible applicants for federal student aid:
- Valid Social Security Number;
- Hold a high school diploma, diploma equivalent (e.g., GED), or completed home schooling at the secondary level;
- Enrolled in an approved certificate program or degree granting program of study;
- US citizen or eligible non-citizen;
- Passing satisfactory academic progress (SAP) guidelines;
- Not in default on federal grants and/or loans;
- Registered with the US Selective Service, if required;
- Enrolled at least half-time for loan eligibility; and
- Certify that financial aid funds will be used only for educational purposes.
