Student Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet several criteria to be considered eligible applicants for federal student aid:

Valid Social Security Number;
Hold a high school diploma, diploma equivalent (e.g., GED), or completed home schooling at the secondary level;
Enrolled in an approved certificate program or degree granting program of study;
US citizen or eligible non-citizen;
Passing satisfactory academic progress (SAP) guidelines;
Not in default on federal grants and/or loans;
Registered with the US Selective Service, if required;
Enrolled at least half-time for loan eligibility; and
Certify that financial aid funds will be used only for educational purposes.
