Eligibility-Prosper Program (effective for the 2023-2028 Academic Years)
The Prosper Program is designed to empower students and support them through their first academic year. Through personalized support and a curriculum tailored to teaching students strategies for college success, the Prosper Program aims to equip students with tools, support, and resources to succeed. Entrance into The University of Findlay requires an earned diploma from an accredited high school in a college preparatory course of study or a GED certificate. The faculty recommends four units of English, three units of mathematics, three units of social studies (including one in history), two units of science, and two units of foreign language.
The following criteria are used as standards for first-time student admission as well as for students with fewer than 12 hours of post-secondary credit:
- High school grades as follows:
- Equal to or more than 2.75 to less than 3.0 for direct admission into the Prosper Program;
- Equal to or more than 1.95 to less than 2.75 to be considered for admission into the
Prosper Program
- High school class rank;
- Other indicators of academic and personal success (character, study habits, personality, etc.)
Submitted items will be presented for admissions review. Once reviewed, a decision will be made or additional materials will be requested, such as an interview or a letter of recommendation.
Certain programs (e.g., scholarship competitions, honors, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, nursing) may require additional criteria, such as ACT/SAT testing scores. Undergraduate and graduate programs with additional criteria will be notified when new students interested in their individual programs are accepted through this process.
