CHEM 211 Organic Chemistry II/Lecture

This course is a continuation of CHEM 210. Emphasis is placed on nomenclature and mechanisms of organic reactions. Functional groups covered include alkenes, alkynes, aldehydes, ketones, and carboxylic acids. The reactivity, structure, and stability of aromatic compounds are also discussed. The student will get a thorough study of resonance and formal charge as related to compound stability and reactivity.
