JAPN 120 First-Year Japanese I
This course is an introduction to Japanese language and culture, designed for students who have little to no prior experience in learning Japanese. The goal of this course is to introduce basic modern Japanese language skills (i.e., speaking, listening, reading, and writing) with a heavy emphasis on culturally and socially appropriate language use. The interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes of communication will be introduced.
