MUSC 200 Elementary Music Theory

This course provides a basic knowledge of rudimentary 17th- and 18th-century chordal harmony, elementary ear training and sight singing, functional piano keyboard skills, etc., through harmonic, melodic, and formal musical analyses and beginning composition exercises. This course is designed for the needs of the minor in musical arts, however, it is open to all students.
