PHIL 428 Experiential Learning in Philosophy

This course is designed to have students experience, reflect upon, and write about philosophical issues as they occur outside of the classroom. Field work may include off campus interactions with other students in philosophy, leading the philosophy discussion group, coordinating campus-wide philosophy events, working with local schools, study abroad, working with community organizations (social justice), attending a professional philosophy conference, or preparing a paper for presentation at a conference and/or for publication. Students will be encouraged to consider concepts and themes that directly align with their planned vocation.
