SPAN 250 Hispanic Film (In English)

This course surveys notable Hispanic films in Spanish with English subtitles from the 20th and 21st centuries, concentrating on cultural representations, aesthetic and artistic expressions, and conveyed ideologies. Students will develop their writing and speaking proficiency through critical and comparative analyses. Although this course is taught in English, students with advanced Spanish language proficiency are encouraged to complete assignments in Spanish. This course is repeatable up to six hours, as long as the topics are different.
