Attendance and Return of Title IV Funds
The Office of Financial Aid awards Federal Title IV funds under the assumption that the student will attend for the entire academic period for which aid has been awarded. Students receiving financial aid who formally withdraw from the institution (official withdrawal) or cease attendance without notification (unofficial withdrawal) may be subject to a reduction in federal, state, or institutional aid. Once notified of either type of withdrawal, the Office of Financial Aid is required to complete a Return of Title IV Funds calculation and will return aid to the Department of Education.
