Philosophy/Applied Ethics Minor

Minor Requirements

A minor in philosophy/applied ethics consists of 15 semester hours, including:

PHIL 100Introduction to Philosophy

PHIL 220Ethical Issues of the Modern World

3

nine semester hours from the following list:

Other philosophy ethics courses

RELI 270Religious Issues in Contemporary Society

RELI 410Christian Ethics

or no more than three hours from:

PHIL 225Beauty and Value

PHIL 233Social and Political Thought

POLS 333Contemporary Political Ideologies

PHIL 490 or PHIL 491 may count toward a minor in applied ethics, provided the subject matter of the course is in the area of ethics. (Students may receive a minor in either applied ethics or philosophy, not both).
