The University of Findlay Concert-Chorale is a non-audition choir with a membership that is open to all interested students, regardless of major It is also open to faculty/staff and community singers. The choir presents annual Christmas and spring concerts that feature a wide variety of choral music, including seasonal favorites and standard choral literature. This large chorus primarily performs on campus but also occasionally in the community and on tour. There are two rehearsals per week, and scholarships are available for choir students.
University Singers is a chamber choral ensemble that performs both classical and contemporary choral repertoires. Auditions are held each fall for the coming academic year, and each member receives a scholarship for participation. Performances take place both on- and off-campus.
Students have the option to participate in two concert band offerings: the UF Wind Ensemble and the UF Symphonic Band. Membership in the Wind Ensemble is by audition and consists of students across every major. The Wind Ensemble rehearses twice a week and performs on campus, in the community, and on tour. Membership in the Symphonic Band does not require an audition and consists of both students and community members. The Symphonic Band rehearses once a week and performs on campus and in the community. For students over the summer, the community band continues from May through July. Scholarships are available to concert band students.
The Oiler Pep Band is open to all students, regardless of major. The Oiler Pep Band performs at home men's and women's basketball games. Scholarships are available to pep band members.
The University Jazz Ensemble consists of students across every major, and membership is selected by audition. While improvisational skills are not required for membership, opportunities to learn improvisational techniques are made available for those students who are interested. Scholarships are available to Jazz Ensemble students.
The University of Findlay Orchestra is open to all students, regardless of major, and to members of the community. There is one rehearsal per week. The Orchestra performs on campus twice a year, and scholarships are available to orchestra students.
Private music lessons in voice, piano, guitar, and all band and orchestral instruments are available to any interested student.
