OCTH 627 Essentials for Occupational Therapy Practice II: Contemporary Instructional Strategies

This course introduces the teaching/learning process as it relates to the domain of occupational therapy. Students learn, analyze and apply teaching/learning theories, methods, skills and techniques. Student synthesis of these concepts is demonstrated through the development of an educational model that addresses the role of occupational therapy for consumers, their families and caregivers. Contemporary health literacy is analyzed and students develop an educational model designed for health care providers and/or public audiences.
