BIOL 312 Microbiology for the Pharmaceutical Sciences
This course offers an examination of microbiology from a human pathogen perspective and is tailored toward students within the pharmaceutical sciences. Emphasis will be placed upon the cellular biology of common human pathogens as well as the molecular basis of their associated diseases. Additional topics to be covered include antimicrobial agents, mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, methods of clinical identification/diagnosis, and the human microbiome.
