FNCE 370 Money and Banking

The course provides an overview of the U.S. financial system and an understanding of the theory and practice of monetary policy. Topics covered include the nature and functions of money, the role of commercial and investment banks in our economy, banking regulation, the U.S. central banking system and its conduct of monetary policy, money supply targeting and interest rates prices and the overall level of economic activity.
