EDFI 543 Research in Reading
Students will discuss current issues in the teaching of reading through investigating relevant research in areas such as the reading process, reading development, assessments, programs and professional development. Current research will be organized and interpreted in terms of The International Reading Association Standards of the Preparation of Reading Professionals. An online seminar format encourages in-depth discussion of the various topics. In addition, this course allows students to explore the multi-faceted nature of reading research and requires students to develop ideas for further research. This course covers all relevant state and federal mandates.
