PHAR 416 Introduction to Applied Toxicology
This course is an elective for the 4th year student interested in developing an introductory knowledge in selected topics involving the acute or chronic toxicity of drugs and chemicals in humans and their clinical treatment. This course enhances student skills in patient assessment, laboratory interpretation, literature evaluation, and pharmacotherapy. When properly mastered, the student will be able to integrate and utilize their knowledge of biochemistry, physiology, pathophysiology, and anatomy to design a patient-centered care plan to treat the toxicities of the agents covered.
