PHAR 417 Introduction to Pediatric Pharmacy Practice

This course is an elective for 4th year student interested in developing an introductory knowledge in selected topics in health maintenance, assessment, and specialized drug therapy in the pediatric patient. This course will enhance student skills in patient assessment, laboratory interpretation, literature evaluation and pharmacotherapy of the child. A focus will be on the role of multiple professional disciplines in the treatment and support of the child and applying the pharmacy patient-centered care plan to pediatric patients.
