Spanish Minor

A minor in Spanish consists of at least 21 semester hours of approved courses beyond Spanish II.

A minor in Spanish consists of

SPAN 220	Spanish III	3
SPAN 221	Spanish IV	3
SPAN 310	Spanish Reading, Writing, and Grammar	3
SPAN 332	Spanish Conversation and Pronunciation	3

In addition, students must complete nine hours from the following:

SPAN 250	Hispanic Film (In English)	3
SPAN 328	Hispanic Cultures	3
SPAN 346	Hispanic Literatures	3
SPAN 360	Spanish for the Professions	3
SPAN 361	Spanish Community-Based Learning	3
SPAN 490	Selected Topics in Spanish	1 to 4
SPAN 491	Independent Study in Spanish	1 to 4
SPAN 499	Study/Internship in a Spanish-Speaking Country	1 to 6

A maximum of three courses within the minor (SPAN 220, SPAN 221, SPAN 332) may be waived due to advanced placement.
