EDSP 642 Leading Innovation in Schools Today

This course is designed for students in graduate programs that emphasize the development of the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary to offer Innovations in the K - 12 schools. Students will examine and analyze historical models, refer to Ohio revised code for new innovative programs such as STEAM culture and instruction, and examine changes in the K-12 schools that guide innovation practices and policies. Students will analyze and evaluate instructional design and current models of instruction, understand what and how a school might move toward becoming a STEAM school as defined by the, Ohio Department of Education and examine ways to integrate change and innovation as they apply to school settings. Among these areas of knowledge, skills and dispositions are school culture, collaboration and programming.
