EDSP 656 Legal and Ethical Issues in Athletic Administration

Course work focuses on legal systems, concepts and landmark cases influencing interscholastic athletic administration and the sport industry. Students will focus on established legal guidelines to consider all aspects of liability related to athletic administration, managing risk and maintaining safety, equity and integrity within interscholastic athletic programs. Students will become familiar with legal concerns in regards to interscholastic athletic administration focusing on, but not limited to, risk management, Title IX, sexual harassment, hazing, ADA and employment law.
