BIOL 293 Biology and Society

This course offers an examination of the societal impact and responsibilities of the scientific community. Emphasis will be on the changing public awareness of complex situations associated with rapidly emerging biological technologies. Legal, ethical, economic, political, and scientific issues will be analyzed through lecture and discussions.
