CSCI 148 Digital Literacy for Educators

This course is designed to prepare education majors to utilize technology as a tool in the classroom. Topics will include an overview of digital literacy topics pertaining to computers, devices, the Web, hardware for educators, software for educators, curriculum integration, and the evaluation of education technology and integration strategies. Laboratory work will include word processing, presentation graphics software, electronic spreadsheets, and database management using the Microsoft Office suite. Programming concepts will also be explored within the Alice programming environment.
