CSCI 149 Digital Literacy for Business

This course is designed to prepare business majors to utilize technology as a tool in the business world. Topics will include an overview of digital literacy topics pertaining to computers, devices, the Web, hardware, software, applications, and impact on society. Laboratory work will include introductory and intermediate experiences with electronic spreadsheets and database management using the Microsoft Office suite. Students will be given the opportunity to earn Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Excel and Access as a part of this course.
