NMED 435L Molecular Imaging Radiation Protection Lab

This course will use a lab-based approach to clarify and enhance lecture topics. Lab experiences will enhance student competence in the areas of patient care, radiation safety, diagnostic procedures, and radionuclide therapy. Various technologies and simulations will be used to enhance future clinical coursework and practice. Topics explored include radiation signs, record keeping, personnel and area monitoring, radionuclide receipt, storage and disposal, and management of clinical radiation spills and accidents.
