NMED 465L Radiochemistry and Radiopharmaceuticals Lab
This course will use a lab-based approach to clarify and enhance lecture topics. Lab experiences will enhance student competence in the areas of patient care, radiation safety, instrumentation and quality control, radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals, diagnostic procedures, and radionuclide therapy. Various technologies and simulations will be used to enhance future clinical coursework and practice. Topics explored include radiochemistry, radionuclide generators, transient and secular equilibrium, radiopharmaceutical properties, pharmacological actions, localization methods, basic principles of immunology, and radiopharmaceutical preparation and quality control.
