NMED 472L Molecular Imaging Instrumentation Lab
This course will use a lab-based approach to clarify and enhance lecture topics. Lab experiences will enhance student competence in the areas of patient care, radiation safety, instrumentation and quality control, and diagnostic procedures. Various technologies and simulations will be used to enhance future clinical coursework and practice. Topics explored include basic principles of molecular imaging radiation detection instrumentation, gas-filled and scintillation instruments, planar gamma camera systems, and hybrid imaging.
