K-12 Reading Endorsement
Endorsement Requirements
The K-12 reading endorsement includes:
| EDUC 219 | Phonics and Foundations of Literacy | 3 |
| EDUC 325 | Structured Literacy | 3 |
| EDUC 326 | Reading Intervention | 3 |
| EDUC 415 | Reading and Writing Across the Content Areas | 3 |
| EDUC 423 | Integrating Reading Assessments and Instruction | 3 |
In addition, the K-12 reading endorsement requires students to take EDFI 535, EDFI 543, EDFI 650, EDFI 655, and EDFI 665, during which they must do 50 hours of field experience with licensed reading teachers across three grade bands K-12 (primary, intermediate, junior high/high school).
