Middle Childhood Generalist Endorsement

Candidates who hold a Middle Childhood Teaching License in the State of Ohio for two content areas may add one or a combination of two additional content areas to their license through obtaining this endorsement.

Course options are as follows:

MC Generalist Endorsement in Language Arts:

Candidates are required to take nine semester hours of credit as outlined below and pass either the Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE # 018 and OAE #019 or OAE #028). This endorsement will enable the candidate to teach language arts in grades 4-6.

Candidates are required to take nine semester hours of credit as outlined below and pass either Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE # 018 and OAE #019 or OAE #030). This endorsement will enable the candidate to teach mathematics in grades 4-6.

Candidates are required to take nine semester hours of credit as outlined below and pass either the Ohio Assessment for Educators (OAE # 018 and OAE #019 or OAE #029). This endorsement will enable the candidate to teach science in grades 4-6. Candidates will select two content classes from the following and the Methods/Curriculum course.
