OCTH 521 Professional and Contextual Issues in Occupational Therapy Practice I: Self as Agent of Change

Students investigate behaviors necessary for effective professional practice, including inter-professional communication skills for diverse clients, colleagues and communities. Students participate in academic service learning and experiential learning in integrated labs to develop these skills. Students develop an awareness of their own interpersonal style, inter-professional role, the therapeutic use of self as an agent of change and the importance of advocacy for the profession.
