ENGL 311 Novel Writing Workshop

This workshop-based course will focus on the continuous development by each student of a novel or narrative work of similar scope, such as memoir, creative nonfiction book, or feature-length screenplay. Each student should have a work of suitable scope ready to begin or already underway at the beginning of the term. While a finished draft is not expected by the end of the term, new chapters should be ready on a regular basis for group critique, with consideration toward a complete and self-contained final product. This course will follow standard workshop protocol and etiquette for creative writing courses. This course is repeatable up to 12 semester hours.
