ENGL 314 Multimodal Rhetoric

This course explores theories of multimodal rhetorics, the nature of physical and digital composing, and ways in which these modes influence how we communicate, connect, share, learn, and discover. Students will discuss multimodal expression (such as images, sound, movement, procedures, and typography), practice inclusive approaches to research, and explore multimodal rhetorical principles. Students should expect to analyze existing academic and popular texts as well as spend class time designing and building their own small-scale multimodal projects.
