Student Organization Leadership
Undergraduate Students:
Any undergraduate student wishing to serve as an officer in a UF recognized student organization must maintain a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 for the duration of their time in office.
If an elected undergraduate officer’s cumulative G.P.A. falls below 2.5 during the course of his/her term, the student organization must select a replacement. The officer whose cumulative G.P.A. fell below a 2.5 may not return to office or run for another office for the remainder of that academic year. They may run for office in the next academic year as long as their cumulative G.P.A. has returned to 2.5 or above.
Undergraduate students with less than a 2.5 cumulative G.P.A. may not be nominated for or elected to an officer position.
In cases where an undergraduate student in his/her first semester at UF wishes to be nominated for or elected as an officer, they must have had a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 in high school (for entering freshmen) or a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 at the last University they attended or graduated from (for transfer students and students who have already earned a college degree at another institution).
Graduate Students:
Any graduate student wishing to serve as an officer in a UF recognized student organization must maintain a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 for the duration of their time in office.
If an elected graduate student officer’s cumulative G.P.A. falls below 3.0 during the course of his/her term, the student organization must select a replacement. The officer whose cumulative G.P.A. fell below a 3.0 may not return to office or run for another office for the remainder of that academic year. They may run for office in the next academic year as long as their cumulative G.P.A. has returned to 3.0 or above.
